Frequently asked questions.
The things prospects most often ask before getting started.
Why don't you publish prices?
Because the projects we take on vary too much for a list to be useful. A marketing site for a consultancy and a reporting system for a service business aren't the same job, and pricing them as if they are would either misprice yours or lower the bar of what we do. We'd rather have a quick call and come back with a real proposal.
What does it actually cost to work with you?
Project budgets vary widely depending on shape and scope, and we'll always quote a fixed price up-front based on the scoped brief. Ongoing partnership work can sit on a retainer, blocks of hours, or ad-hoc, whichever suits.
What do I own at the end?
Everything. Code, design files, content, domains, credentials. All yours from day one. If you decide to take the project elsewhere or in-house, we hand over every file and credential. No exit fees, no awkward conversations.
How long does a project typically take?
It depends on scope. A focused marketing site might be a few weeks; a customer-facing portal or operational platform is usually months. Once we've scoped the brief, we commit to a timeline in the proposal and hold ourselves to it.
Can you take over a project that's already started?
Yes. We'll review the existing work, talk to whoever's been on it, and tell you honestly whether picking it up is the right call or whether you're better off rebuilding from a clean base. Either way, you get a straight answer.
What about after launch?
Most clients keep us on for the iteration that follows. We can run hosting, monitoring, security updates, content edits, and incremental development on terms that fit your team: a recurring retainer, hours-as-needed, or simply being on the other end of an email.
Where are you based, and do you work remotely?
We're based in Newcastle and work with clients across the UK and beyond. Most of the day-to-day happens remotely; we're happy to come on site for kickoffs or workshops when it helps.
